Incredible!!!
If youre like me youve been wondering for at least months if not a year if the $50 price tag is worth it. Sure there are other similar apps that cost $5, so why pay 10 times that for something that more or less does the same thing, right?
There are some other cool apps out there, but I have yet to see anything that offers close to the flexibility of Lemur, and Ive tried just about all of them.
Yes there is a rather large learning curve and not exactly a plethora of information available on how to go about scripting for someone like me with little to no programming experience. Dont let that stop you. You will be greatly rewarded if you put in the time needed to tame this beast.
If you want to make mediocre controllers go get one of the other apps. If you want to make something really cool that interacts with your music in interesting and unique ways this is the obvious choice. This is the best MIDI/OSC controller app out there, and one of the best controllers Ive ever used period. I just finished recording a track that was using Lemur to control an analog synth, the iSEM app and a delay plugin in Pro Tools all at the same time, and from the same set of controls. The other day I was controlling a pair of Moog MF-104M analog delay units. The possibilities are literally endless. And to answer your question.... It is definitely worth the $50. I would have paid $100 for it and still felt like I was stealing it.
